At Courtyard Private School, we develop young people into well-rounded scholars, artists, and leaders. Our curriculum is balanced and challenging, providing individual attention to each student.

A Balanced Curriculum

Our classes offer non-stop opportunities for leadership, service, and artistic expression. Students benefit from our small class sizes. A typical day includes physical education, music, Spanish, and performing arts in addition to core subjects. This personal attention means students are placed in their appropriate “L+1 groups” – where they can succeed at their ideal pace.

Personal Attention

Courtyard’s class sizes are small. Our school is intimate. At Courtyard, all teachers and staff know each student’s name and personality well.

Convenient Location, Dropoff and Pickup

Our community non-profit school has been a mainstay in Midtown and East Sacramento for 40 years. We personally greet your student every morning at a dropoff point that is convenient for you, as a busy parent, who loves your child but also has meetings to get to!

Frequent Field Trips and Unique Activities

Courtyard’s TK through 8th grade programs offer frequent field trips, hands-on learning activities and a nurturing community atmosphere. Destinations from the past year have included Washington D.C., the Marin Headlands, Effie Yeaw Nature Center and B Street Theatre. 

Before & After School Care

We understand that as a parent, you are busy.  Our before school and after school care are more than just afterthoughts. When our parents pick up students, they are often heard commenting: “Awww why are you here already?”
