We are excited to announce Courtyard Summer camp is open for registration for all Courtyard families and the public! 

We have nine thematic weeks of camp for you to choose from. Our experienced, caring, and professional staff provide campers with the opportunity to have fun and continue learning throughout the summer. Our campers continue their educational and social growth through weekly themes, on-site events, activities tailored for each age group, and daily academic enrichment.

Campers each receive their own Summer Bridge academic review workbook which they work in daily during camp to retain their classroom skills and enter their new grades in the fall feeling confident and prepared.

Our camp day and activities are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. For your convenience, we also provide before camp care (7:30 a.m.-9:00 a.m.) and after camp care (3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.) Courtyard has a strict late pick up policy. If your child is still on campus after 5:30 p.m. there will be an additional charge. That fee will increase with the frequency of late pick-ups.

Welcome to Summer! | June 24 – 28

Get ready for a week packed with sunshine, laughter, and endless summer fun. Our camp is the perfect place to kick off the sunny season and create unforgettable memories with new friends. Sample activities include: Relay races, Water play, Sun Tea, friendship bracelets, slime, and we wrap the week up with an Ice Cream Social!

Prepare to embark on a literary adventure where imagination knows no bounds. Our week-long camp is designed to ignite a passion for reading, writing, and storytelling while fostering creativity and camaraderie among campers. Sample activities include a dress up day, improv games, making books, literary themed mysteries, and more!

Get ready for a week filled with zany adventures, outrageous activities, and loads of laughter. Our camp is the ultimate destination for campers who love to let loose, get silly, and embrace their wild side. Sample activities include relay races, Silly trivia, the classic Egg Drop, Minute-to-Win-it challenges, and more!

Get ready to unleash your creativity and explore the vibrant world of the arts. Our camp is a haven for young artists, where imagination knows no bounds and every masterpiece is celebrated. Sample Activities include Figure Painting, Splatter Paint, Origami, Ceramics, and we conclude the week with our annual Art Show, where the students display their creations.

Get ready for a week packed with rhythm, reels, and plenty of action. Our camp is home sweet home for young performers and film buffs, where creativity knows no bounds and every beat is a chance to shine. Sample activities include stop motion animation,  Script creation, instrument creation, dance lessons, and culminates in a Talent Show at the end of the week!

Plant and Animal Exploration- Get ready for a week filled with exploration, discovery, and connection with the natural world. Our camp is the perfect destination for young nature enthusiasts, where they can immerse themselves in the beauty and wonder of plants and animals. Sample Activities for the week include a nature hike, workshops in the garden, a visit from a local wildlife organization, potting your own plants to take home, and more!

Welcome to Space is the Place week, where young astronauts embark on an intergalactic adventure of discovery and wonder! Our camp is a haven for budding space explorers to delve into the mysteries of the cosmos and reach for the stars. Get ready for a week filled with cosmic excitement, celestial exploration, and out-of-this-world fun. Sample activities include a planetary exploration simulation, UFO crafts, model rocket making, planet themed games, and we will finish the week off with a rocket launch at the park!

Welcome to our Survival Skills week, where young adventurers learn to thrive in the great outdoors! This week is designed to teach essential survival skills, foster resilience, and instill a deep appreciation for nature. Get ready for a week filled with wilderness challenges, outdoor exploration, and unforgettable adventures. Sample activities include Shelter building, learning how to safely navigate a trail, a water purification lab, exploring animal and plant adaptations through art, all culminating in a team survival challenge game.

Our last week of summer is Young Gourmets, where young chefs embark on a delicious journey of culinary exploration and creativity! This week is a foodie’s dream, where campers learn essential cooking skills, explore diverse cuisines, and unleash their inner chefs. Get ready for a week filled with cooking challenges, tasty experiments, and mouth watering creations. Sample Activities include harvesting food from our garden, playing food themed games, doing tastings, creating your own menu, plenty of cooking projects, and a trip to a local restaurant.

Specialty Camps

Introduction to Robotics

July 8 – 12 | 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Building, learning and programming robots has never been so fun! Join us at Courtyard for an introductory week of Robotics. This program will help inspire students ages 8-14 code, develop, and create interesting and unique robots. Our dynamic approach in learning to build step-by-step according to the picture guide instruction, allows students to explore several approaches in this STEM endeavor. We will be integrating remote-controlled STEM kits, which are made of safe and harmless ABS plastic. Campers will have fun learning to assemble robots and make them work in a safe environment. Space is limited to the first 15 campers who meet the age requirements and who are eager to dive into the world of Robotics.

July 8 – 12 | 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM

 With our new school set of ukuleles, Mr. Tavianini invites you to join a beginner’s adventure to this globally loved instrument.
Spend the week learning uke fundamentals, including anatomy, history, and basic technique, along with music theory skills.
The week includes the use of a classroom ukulele and preparation of songs to be played and sung at a small performance to showcase the growth during the camp.

July 8 – 12 | 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
August 5 – 9 | 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

RPGS, or Role-Playing Games, are games based on cooperative, imaginative play. Players become heroic characters and have epic adventures in a fantasy world created and run by another player at the table who takes on the role of Game Master. Pre-existing rules and rolls of the dice provide a basis for a truly amazing experience. In this club for players ages seven to fourteen, students will create their own fantasy characters, monsters, and worlds with creative activities, design and run their own games, and take part in an epic campaign written and run by Mr. P. We will be playing Dungeons and Dragons and various other RPGs.  Ten to twelve total students can sign up for this role-playing adventure.

July 15 – 19 | 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Build and explore with Minecraft! This fun and challenging one week course allow campers to utilize their creativity through coding, as taught through the massive world of Minecraft. This introductory course is designed for camper’s grades 2 – 8. Although viewed as a popular game, this course will help campers learn critical thinking skills, important computer science concepts and modify popular electronic game concepts. Space is limited to the first 20 campers who sign up. 

July 15 – 19 | 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM

The lights are bright, the show begins! This week features an exploration of broadway musicals. Students will have the opportunity to learn about award-winning shows, composers, and performers. They will experience all the varied aspects of putting on a musical, on a small scale.
This will include selecting and rehearsing a story and song script, choreography, props/set/costumes, lights and sound, and presentation of their mini-musical at the end of the week.
 
Open to any number of students, grades 2nd & up

July 22 – 26 | 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Tap into your rhythmic self in this week of bucket drumming! Students will explore the ways to transform a simple household tool into an instrument with incredible possibilities. The week features the basics of sticking technique, comprehensive rhythm notation literacy, aural musicianship, varied styles and genres of percussion, and skills that both stand on their own and can be stepping stones to further instrumental training.  Students showcase the experiences of the week with a short performance on Friday.

Registration Information and Instructions

To guarantee your child has a spot, sign up for Summer Camp no later than Friday, April 19, 2024. Please be sure to have your paperwork turned in by this date. Late registration will depend on available spaces.

Earlybird Registration for non-Courtyard Families

Register your child for camp before February 9 to receive the Courtyard family rate for any weeks you sign up for.

Your child is enrolled once the completed registration form, and the first week of camp fees are paid. Camp fees are not billed: They are due in advance, the Monday prior to the first day of each camp week your child will attend. There is also the option to pay for all of summer in advance.

Please be advised that there is no Summer Camp July 4, nor the weeks of June 17 – 21, and August 26 – 30.

Register Now, Pay Later!

New to our Summer Camp program is the option to register now for as many camp weeks as you wish and pay at a later date. $350 is due to hold your spots. To use this option just click on the Register Now – Pay Later link during online registration. Courtyard will bill you the remaining fees due after sign up.

Legal Disclaimer

Families who have registered their student (s) at Courtyard for the 2024/2025 school year may register for the Courtyard rate for all camps. Simply stated, students must be officially enrolled for the Fall semester of school to register under the Courtyard rate.
